Create a textbook from Wiki–and give your students a real benefit!
I have created a short Tutorial Video on how to create a book using content from Wikipedia. Â There is great content available, and I think this is one way that faculty can deliver quality textbooks to their students at affordable (well, NO) costs.
Sure, I know some will say “But it’s WIKI… it’s not to be used for academics! It’s not reliable!” Â To that I respond–then take the time, as an expert in your field, to clean up what you think is incorrect–it is, after all, editable by us. Make your contribution to the greater good.
