They will sell more iPads if people can access their Kindle books, and Sony books, and B&N books, and Apple books and all the other books out there. I can see the iPad tearing down the tower of Babel in one brilliant stroke. Of course one would still have to bring up a separate app for each type of book, but better that than not being able to access them at all.
